Church as part of an Old Fait sanctuary

[Influence of monoliths on the local magnetic field] The spiritual natural systems of the Old
Faith people of Posčje are the spiritual rules of the nature that shapes it, just as material nature is
shaped by its physical laws. These spiritual rules can be described by the algorithms of nature. The
Old Faith people read them, understood their significance for life and learned to use them to create
spiritual power in the landscape where they lived. The basic purpose for the construction of the
natural system was and still is the protection of life. It provides strength to people and animals in
its field and reinforces their overall resistance, or more simply, if they live in a tročan (an energy
triangle), they become stronger, too. Spiritual power of the environment slowly passes into a human.
The village of Volarje and its wider area is surrounded by a natural system that preserves the spiritual
condition of the fifth power. The natural system is connected by dragon lines with various potentials of
power. The fiery dragon line, running between Skalca and the confluence of the Volari stream and the
Soča river, weakens too much on its way. To strengthen it, our ancestors built a place of worship. Down on the plain at the foot of the hill they set up a fiery tročan, a masterpiece of knowledge that we can only
admire today. It was designed with two ritual angles. Its vital part is a fifty-meter-long wall built of rocks
set in a straight line. Between the 12th and 13th centuries, the church of St. Brice was built on the site of the
former ancient religious sanctuary to strengthen its power, and not to destroy it.
